2026 Big Sing

Associated Male Choruses of America (AMCofA)

Appleton MacDowell Chorus proudly hosted the 2026 Big Sing at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center on April 25, 2026. The Big Sing has been hosted annually since 1948, in the home community of different member choruses of the Associated Male Choruses of America (AMCofA). This concert was historic as it was the first time the event was held in the Fox Cities. Choruses will travel from Jamestown, North Dakota; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Eau Claire, Wisconsin; and many other communities to join the Appleton MacDowell Chorus in song for one evening.

Thank you! to all the local organizations that provided lodging, performing spaces, and catering to the 250-plus chorus members and many of their spouses and families. Particularly noted are the Hilton Paper Valley Hotel, the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center, Michiels Catering, and St. Joseph Church of Appleton.

As always, the spouses of the Appleton MacDowell Chorus also deserve special recognition for the significant time and effort they contributed to this and all the events hosted by the chorus. They planned, organized, and executed a brunch for 90 spouses who accompanied performers to the event. It was a fabulous social gathering of women who all had one thing in common, husbands who love to sing! There was crafting, prize drawings, and a catered lunch.

We could not do all we do without the support and acceptance of our wives of the lofty goals we set!

There is one more significant group of contributors to this event. We want to express our heartfelt appreciation to the outstanding local businesses and companies who provided funding as Event Partners to this historic concert. Their choice to support the arts scene in the Fox Cities highlights the reasons that MacDowell Chorus has survived for now going on 93 years in this wonderful community.
